It was supposed to be just another shopping trip when Inas Kadri ventured out to the mall with her two little children last August. As she was browsing through the shops and checking out the sales, a woman approached her and started cursing and yelling at her. This woman swore at Kadri, who wears a niqab, about her religion and told her to “Leave our country. Go back to your country”. In her anger and rage, this woman took her hate to the next level and pulled off Kadri’s niqab. All this was caught in the mall’s security camera.

PORT OF SPAIN, Muharram 1/Nov.26 (IINA)-Muslims in central Trinidad say they are being branded as terrorists after reports surfaced that an Islamic organisation in the area is linked to an alleged assassination plot involving Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and other Cabinet Ministers.
A former medic in Dearborn, Michigan is going after his old employers with a sex discrimination suit. According to John Benitez Jr, he lost his job with the city’s Department of Health because he provided medical care to Muslim patients.
Benitez, 63, has spent half his life as a registered nurse. In September 2010, he joined the ranks of Dearborn’s Health Department to assist patients in one of the largest Muslim communities in America. Even with a booming population of immigrants practicing Islam, the nurse says that his supervisor told him that they were off limits.

Once again, New York Congressman Peter King has made his appearance before the Islamophobic Muslim Hysteria Circus. Reacting to Jose Pimentel’s arrest on alleged terrorism charges, King thoughtlessly stated that Muslim “converts are definitely a threat”. According to a recent Huffington Post report, King stated that converts who become radicalized are sometimes “the most dedicated, if you will” to carrying out violent attacks. These irresponsible and reckless statements are completely baseless and aimed to nurture xenophobia. His rhetoric bashes anything related to Islam with the outrageous goal of exploiting Muslims in America for personal political gain. In the past, King convened various Congressional hearings targeting a so-called radicalized Muslim community.
Wilfredo Amr Ruíz, is a lawyer, commentator on international politics and former U.S. military chaplain from Miami. He’s also a Muslim, one of a small and growing number of Latinos who have converted to Islam.

Hundreds of Muslims staged a rally and public prayers in New York City Friday, to protest alleged ethnic and religious profiling in their community by the city’s police department.
Hundreds of Muslims prayed in lower Manhattan and planned a march on New York Police headquarters on Nov. 18 to protest a decade of NYPD spying inside Muslim neighborhoods.
