CHILDREN WHO attend the Muslim primary school in Dublin’s Clonskeagh are finding it increasingly difficult to get places at secondary schools in the area, a spokesman for the Islamic Cultural Centre has said. The children were born in Ireland and are Irish citizens.

As a way to further his activism in the Republican Party, Hamze campaigned for a position on his local Republican party’s executive committee in Broward County, Florida.

The proposed construction of an Islamic center near Ground Zero in New York caused outrage when it was announced two years ago. Now days after the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the facility opened last night to no opposition.

Pamela Geller, an anti-Islamic blogger based in New York, settled a lawsuit filed by one of Rifqa Bary’s attorneys this week.
Bary, a minor, fled from her parent’s house in Ohio to Florida because she converted to Christianity. According to Bary’s attorneys, she moved to Florida in an effort to practice Christianity away from her disapproving parents. A website created about the case claims that Bary left “after her father threatened to kill her for apostasy, a crime under Islamic Sharia law.”

Brooklyn College faculty drafts resolution

The faculty of Brooklyn College have passed a resolution which condemns the NYPD’s infiltration of Muslim student groups.
The Associated Press reports that the college says the infiltration threatens intellectual freedom and civil rights of all within the college community. “The use of undercover police agents and the cultivation of police informers on campus has a chilling effect on the intellectual freedom necessary for a vibrant academic community,” the resolution said.
